Clay, Glass and Metal is now Art of Fire
The Royal Oak Clay, Glass and Metal Show has a new name for our 24th year. The show will still be everything that you’ve come to expect about the event but we’ll be adding some new elements that center around FIRE. Fire and heat is how all of our wonderful artists create their one of a kind works of art. Patrons are often surprised to see just how different artists are able to add their own spin on creative functional and decorative items. Our jurors work to find the most diversity possible so that you can see everything from basic plates to elaborate installations.
We will also have three main demo areas located on Washington Ave. ( clay, glass and metal) that will feature step by step demonstrations, hands-on crafts and music. We will also be featuring OCC ceramic and metal students at the corner of Washington and Lincoln in an emerging artists section.
We will also be featuring fire eaters at Fifth and Washington. See, we weren’t kidding. We’ve added some Insta-worthy moments to the show. Some more surprises are also in the works. Stay tuned.
